Where are we?

The Isle of Skye is the largest island of the Inner Hebrides, the islands off the northwest coast of Scotland. Known for its rugged landscapes and dramatic scenery, it is a must-see destination for many people, and is the second most popular holiday destination in Scotland.

Portree, the capital town of the island is ideally located in the centre of the island and features an attractive town square, lively pubs, popular restaurants and shops, and the picturesque Telford harbour with its multicolour buildings.

Orchard House Bed and Breakfast is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, tucked away on the outskirts of Portree in the former gardens of the old MacDonald Lodge (now the luxury 4-star Cuillin Hills Hotel, with fantastic restaurant and bar) with views south towards the rugged Cuillin Hills and open croftland to the north. We are just a leisurely 1km (12-14 minutes) walk away from the hustle and bustle of Portree town centre.

Parking is available and free for guests. We have spaces for all our rooms: two spaces in front of our garage, and two spaces directly in front of the house.
