The Isle of Skye
The Isle of Skye is the largest island of the Inner Hebrides, the islands off the northwest coast of Scotland. Known for its rugged landscapes and dramatic scenery, it is a must-see destination for many people, and is the second most popular holiday destination in Scotland.
The capital town, Portree, is ideally located in the centre of the island and features an attractive town square, lively pubs, popular restaurants and shops, and the picturesque Telford harbour with its multicolour buildings.
A leisurely 1km (12-14 minutes) walk away from the hustle and bustle of Portee town centre, Orchard House Bed and Breakfast is tucked away on the edge of Portree in the former gardens of the old MacDonald Lodge (now a luxury 4-star hotel,) with views south towards the rugged Cuillin Hills and open croftland to the north.
